Career overview

How the India career developed.

This overview connects role, debuts and format context using the dated records listed below.

Rishabh Pant entered India’s T20I side in February 2017 and established his strongest international record as an attacking Test wicketkeeper-batter. His left-handed counterattack has produced hundreds in England, Australia and South Africa.

Pant made an unbeaten 89 at Brisbane in January 2021 as India completed a series-winning chase at the Gabba. After a serious road accident in December 2022, he returned to international cricket in 2024 and later resumed his Test career.

The opened record was newer than the batch result: through the Test starting 23 August 2026, Pant had 52 matches, 3,725 runs and 102 sixes. His ODI and T20I snapshots remain dated to August and July 2024 respectively.
